Michiru Ōshima’s music transcends boundaries, enriching over 80 films, 180 television episodes, numerous video games, and hundreds of albums. Her compositions grace stages worldwide, resonating deeply with audiences across various media.

Her awards include the 52nd and 67th Mainichi Film Contest Award for Best Music, and the 21st, 24th, 26th, 27th, 29th and 30th Japanese Academy Award for Music, and 31st Japanese Academy Award for Best Music. Jackson Hole Film Festival 2007(USA) Best Composer Award.

Renowned for her skillful orchestration and synthesis, Ōshima’s music is characterized by its grandeur and poignant melodies, continuously earning acclaim for its capacity to evoke powerful emotions and vivid imagery.
