Michiru Oshima is a world-renowned Japanese composer and arranger whose distinguished career encompasses over 100 films, 200 television titles, and iconic video game scores. A graduate of the Kunitachi College of Music and a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, Oshima first gained international acclaim as the youngest-ever winner of the International Electone Competition at age 16.
She is celebrated for her masterful blend of grand orchestral arrangements and synthesizers, notably in the Godzilla franchise, the Fullmetal Alchemist series, and the award-winning film Memories of Tomorrow.
A recipient of numerous Japan Academy Film Prizes and a 2015 Grammy Award contributor for her work with violinist Hilary Hahn, Oshima remains a prolific global force, having released over 300 CDs and collaborated with prestigious orchestras across the world to create her signature dramatic and evocative soundscapes.
